The Workshop
Join us for a 3-day astrophotography workshop in the heart of Mani, Greece—a region famed for its rugged mountains, crystal-clear skies, and ancient stone villages untouched by time.
Over the course of the workshop, you’ll gain a solid understanding of the theory and science behind astrophotography through an in-depth lecture on day one. Then, under Mani’s remarkably dark skies—some of the clearest in Europe—we’ll head out for practical shooting sessions, capturing the Milky Way, constellations, and deep-sky objects.
On the final day, we’ll dive into editing techniques, where I’ll guide you through post-processing to bring your night-sky images to life. Whether you're a beginner or looking to sharpen your skills, this experience blends hands-on learning with the awe of Mani’s natural beauty and celestial stillness.

Itinerary
Day 1 | 25/07
Daytime: We meet at Gytheio city at 12pm for our introductory seminar covering the fundamentals of Astrophotography such as: camera settings, equipment, shooting techniques, planning & session preparation.
Night Time: We spend most of the night under the stars getting amazing images of Castle ruins around Mani peninsula.
Day 2 | 26/07
Daytime: In the afternoon, after a relaxed lunch, we make our way south for a scenic hike toward the legendary Tainaro Lighthouse, the southernmost tip of the Balkans. As we walk along the ancient path, the landscape unfolds in all its raw, unspoiled beauty, setting the stage for a truly unforgettable night of shooting under the stars.
Night Time: We’ll spend the heart of the night around the iconic Tainaro Lighthouse capturing the stars above the dramatic coastline. It’s a truly magical location, far from light pollution, offering ideal conditions for photographing the night sky.
Day 3 | 27/07
Daytime: On the final day of the workshop, we’ll focus on editing of our photos. You’ll learn how to stack images to reduce noise and enhance fine details, and process your photos using Photoshop and Lightroom. We’ll also cover techniques such as: startrails, timelapses, etc.
